John Obi Mikel’s contract with Trabzonspor has been ended by common assent, the club has declared.
Mikel joined the Turkish club as a free operator on a two-year bargain the previous summer.
No explanation was given for the common end of the agreement, however, Trabzonspor affirmed the previous Super Eagles skipper surrendered his residual wages.
“The expert football player understanding between our organization and John Obi Mikel on 30.06.2019 beginning date 31.05.2021 has been commonly ended.
“With a common end understanding, the football player surrendered all his forward-looking receivables,” the announcement read.
A weekend ago, Mikel Obi scrutinized Turkish football specialists, for not suspending the Super Lig season in spite of the spread of the coronavirus across Europe.
