Guests attending the 83rd birthday event of Former President Olusegun Obasanjo were screened for any signs of fever before access into the event hall.
This is in an attempt to prevent the spread of Coronavirus in Nigeria.
Coronaviruses (CoV) are a large family of viruses that cause illness ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV).
The event, held at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), Abeokuta, had in attendance, dignitaries from all walks of life.


Individuals entering the event hall were screened one after the other, with a thermometer, by health practitioners, at the point of entry.
After being certified free of any suspicious ailments, guests are given hand sanitizer as they join other attendees in the hall.
Coronavirus; a fast-moving infection originating in China – has spread to more than 80 countries and claimed more than 3,300 lives.
